My pride & joy

Last night I went to the gym and swam laps. I swam since I was a baby, I swam competively since I was 4..yes 4. I was never a FANTASTIC FAST swimmer, but I was a very good swimmer, excellent stroke. I swam summer/winter. I take for granted that not only can I float for an indefinate amount of time but I can swim all lap strokes (except butterfly) perfectly at ease. I went last night and swam and swam. A girl next to me asked me how I DO NOT get water up my nose. I tried to help her but told her that swimming was like being born, I just do it. Then I focused on how I did it and talked to her more. She is getting actually swim instructions this week. I see so many splash about and it seems so exhausting, yet I admire there determination and strength. I love swimming, it is quite, peaceful it is when I am at home, I feel great, amazing, wonderful. I have no pain, I am weightless, my back doesn't hurt. I feel alive. I swam my heart out for 1 1/2 hours then hit the sauna.
